I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC.  My father was a Marine and he went on many floats to Okinawa to keep us here.  I went to Clyde Erwin Elementary, Northwoods Elementary, Northwoods Park Middle, and Jacksonville High School. My mom is from Taipai, Taiwan and I have been fortunate to have visited that side of my family 3 times as a child.  I was also able to visit Okinawa for a week while on one of my Taiwan trips to see the island and my dad while he was there.

My husband and I have been married since 2005.  We lived in Greenville, NC for 2 years after getting married.  We have a son, Paden, who was born in November of 2011.  I live in Surf City and have been making the 40 min commute since 2007. The drive lets my brain unwind from my day.  It is a great place to live and we all like to spend as much time outdoors as possible.

I taught for 8 years before the transition to facilitator. I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.  I taught in Onslow County for 6 years at Carolina Forest Elementary and 2 years in Pitt County.

I enjoy working with the students, staff, and faculty of Clyde Erwin Elementary Magnet School as a Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator.
