A check from the Jacksonville Rotary Club and Rotary International was presented to Clyde Erwin Elementary Magnet School on February 3rd, 2009. This money was donated to purchase robotics kits for the fourth grade students. It is a continuation of a project begun last year when the Rotary donated money to purchase additional laptops for use with the robotics program offered to our fifth grade students. The program is designed to increase interest in math and science and to foster collaboration, creativity, and problem solving in the students. We are extremely grateful to the Rotary for providing us with the funds to make our goals a reality.
